Bookable travel activities in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok — aggregated from eight OTAs into a single Claude tool surface.

What it does

GuideCompare connects Claude to bookable tours, attractions, food experiences, and day trips across Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, and Hanoi, sourced from Headout, Viator, GetYourGuide, Klook, Civitatis, Musement, Tiqets, and Guruwalk. When a user asks about things to do, Claude can search the catalogue, drill into specific activities, list known landmarks for itinerary planning, and surface tracked booking links — all without leaving the chat.

Other cities aren't supported today — the assistant will say so explicitly rather than inventing activities.

Booking links and commission disclosure

Every activity in our responses includes a booking_url — a tokenised tracking URL that redirects through GuideCompare's redirect endpoint before forwarding to the OTA. GuideCompare earns affiliate commission on completed bookings made through these links. This is the service's revenue model. Users see the same OTA listing they'd see going direct; pricing and availability come from the OTA, not from us.

Data we collect

We deliberately collect the minimum needed to operate the service and run aggregate analytics. We do not store user identities, account details, chat content, or conversation history. Standard technical data collected at the redirect stage (such as IP addresses and user-agent strings) is handled as described in our Privacy Policy, retained only as long as needed, and never sold or licensed at individual level.

Per tool call

The query text the LLM passed (not the user's verbatim prompt — only what Claude reformulated for the tool call)
Tool name, city, filters, result count
LLM platform (Claude / ChatGPT / Gemini), via API key
MCP client identifier (e.g. "node" for Claude Desktop) and protocol version, where the transport supplies them
Latency, timestamp, internal call id

Per click on a booking URL

Activity ID, city, OTA, source platform
Originating tool-call id (so each click ties back to the tool call that produced the URL)
Clicking browser's user-agent string and a derived device-type category (mobile / desktop / tablet / bot / unknown), used for device-segment click-through analytics
The clicking browser's IP address, used for security, abuse prevention, and geographic attribution (see Privacy Policy)
A per-conversation session identifier generated by the AI assistant, used to correlate clicks with the originating conversation's tool calls — not linked to any user identity

What we deliberately don't collect

User identities, account ids, or any fingerprint that ties activity to a person
The user's original natural-language prompt (only what Claude passed as tool args)
Conversation history, prior turns, or anything outside the single tool call
Personal health information of any kind

Data retention

Tool-call and click records are stored in DynamoDB in ap-southeast-1 (Singapore). We retain these records only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes described in our Privacy Policy — including affiliate attribution, dispute resolution with partner platforms, aggregate analytics, and security monitoring. Retention periods are reviewed regularly, and records that are no longer needed are permanently deleted or fully anonymised so that no individual can be identified from the remaining data. Authentication and access

The connector is openly available — no signup or credential required. Install it from Anthropic's Claude connector directory and use it directly. ChatGPT and Gemini integrations are managed on our side; the partners we work with on those platforms receive platform-specific keys as part of their integration.
